This lot is comprised of nine of the ten serial sets published in this format. This set includes Divisions 1-7 and 9-10 (lacking Div. 8) and features a title page, preface, table of contents, a table of statistics, and a "Pronouncing Vocabulary of Modern Geographical Names." The table of contents and title page appear at the back of Division 10. Each volume contains between five to eight colored lithograph maps, 61 in all, that are meticulously crafted and loaded with place names. There are numerous uncolored wood engravings and nine beautiful, tinted lithograph prints - one per volume, to further illustrate the diversity of the various races of the world. Folio. Softbound in decorative paper covers with brown cloth spines. Sold as a collection of plates and maps.

Condition: B

The maps are all good to very good with an occasional finger mark in the margins. The covers, spine and bindings are well worn with some loss.
