This Ptolemaic map, presented on a trapezoidal projection, shows the Persian Empire between the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf. Important sites described by Strabo are noted including Arae Herculis, Arae Sabae, Zagri Portae, and Portae Caspie. On sheet (8 x 11.5") with Italian text below and on verso.
