The second state of this exquisite Dutch Bible map. It covers the region between the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf, depicting numerous Biblical sites, including the wanderings of the Children of Israel and the Garden of Eden. The four corners of the map contain vignettes from Genesis; the creation of Adam and Eve, Paradise, Eve offering Adam the apple, and the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. At bottom center is a large scene of Noah's Ark at the beginning of the Deluge. Along the top a banner style cartouche holds the title. Dutch text on verso.
