This graphic woodblock map is centered on the Persian Gulf and focuses on the region's seas, extending from the Black Sea (Pontus Euxin) and the Caspian Sea (Mare Hyrcanum) to the Red Sea (Mare Rubru) and the Indian Ocean (Pelagus Indicum). The mountains ranges are depicted as ropelike chains and the landmasses are simply-named regions. On full page with German text (11 x 6.5").
