A handsome pair of maps of the region surrounding Rome, based on the large four sheet map of the region created by Giacomo Filippi Ameti and published by Domenico de Rossi in 1696. The maps are very detailed with many roads noted, including the road from Rome to Naples and the Appian Way, the ancient Roman road from Brindisi to Rome. Titled in both Italian and Latin.

Condition: C+

The maps have original color. There are some small holes and tears that have been repaired on the verso with paper. The margins have some ragged loss but are still sufficient for framing. On the second map the lower right corner has been torn, with some small loss of the border.
