1) Mexico, Guatemala, and the West Indies by Thomas G. Bradford from the Comprehensive Atlas, circa 1835 (10 x 7.8") hand colored. This map was published during the Texas Revolution. It shows Mexico in control of the entire Southwest including Texas and California, its northern boundary with Oregon Territory. Coahuila & Texas encloses Austin's Colony, which is outlined separately. Place names include San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Fe and S. Juan in place of Taos. The Great Salt Lake is shown connected to the ocean via the fictitious R. Buenaventura. The map extends to show all of Central America and the Caribbean.

2) Mexico & Guatimala by John Dower, circa 1830 (10.3 x 8") uncolored. This map shows all of Upper or New California naming San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and others. The Baja Peninsula is labeled Lower or Old California. The spurious rivers Timpanogas and San Buenaventura run across the unnamed Great Basin to the Pacific Ocean. Texas is named but its borders are not clearly delineated. The map locates many Indian tribes, forts and early settlements.
