A very detailed Taos Revolt battle plan map with the Pueblo de Taos at its center and north oriented to the left. The map shows the movement and positions of the troops under Col. Sterling Price including those of Capts. McMillen, Burgwin, Slack, St. Vrain and Agney and Lieutenants Dyer and Hassendaubel. This military action of 1847 was prompted by the murder of Governor Charles Bent in Taos by a group that were not reconciled to United States rule of the region.
