A dramatic scene depicting the destruction of Jerusalem and the looting of Solomon's Temple, showing the Jewish people being taken into slavery, and the treasures of the temple being carted off. The foreground is filled with gruesome scenes depicting chaos and murder, with a man being roasted in a large pot, and another one being sawn in half. The conquerors are shown placing an idol on a dais and making sacrifices. The right side of the engraving shows desperate people flinging themselves off of a bridge, and in the foreground the conquerors stand on the Ten Commandments while they burn the Torah.

A nice impression on a sheet with some faint toning. The lower margin has a couple of repaired tears, not affecting the view.
