First state of this exquisite Dutch Bible map. It covers the region between the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf, depicting numerous Biblical sites, including the wanderings of the Children of Israel and the Garden of Eden. Banner style title with the four corners of the map containing fully colored vignettes from Genesis; the creation of Adam and Eve, Paradise, Eve offering Adam the apple, and the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. At bottom center is a large scene of Noah's Ark at the beginning of the Great Flood. Dutch text on verso
