Published in the first year of the Texas Revolution, this handsome copper plate map shows Mexico in control on the entire Southwest, Texas and California with its northern boundary with Oregon Territory. Coahuila & Texas encloses Austin's Colony outlined separately. Place names include Ft. Del Norte, San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Fe and S. Juan in place of Taos. At the southeast tip of the Great Salt Lake is Brigsda, a reference we've not noted before. The map extends to show all of Central America and the Caribbean. Details include many place names, Indian tribes, etc.
