A varied group of maps of North America.

1) North America from the best Authorities. Features a large and unusual Sea of the West. Published by C. Brightly & T. Kinnersly, Suffolk in 1806, black and white (8.5 x 7.3"). A sheet with a nice impression, a couple spots, one within map. Grade B+
2) North America. A very large Nueva California includes Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. The new state of Texas is shown in a larger configuration. Published by the SDUK, London, circa 1846, in original outline color. (12 x 14.8"). Foxed and toned, mostly along folds. Several splits and tears have been repaired with nonarchival tape on verso. Grade B.
3) Amerique Septentrionale. A colorful map with unusual territorial configurations. Territoire Indien includes the Texas panhandle, and Arizona and New Mexico are horizontal territories. Published by E. Dezobry, Paris, dated 1864, hand color. (13 x 12"). Grade A.
4) North America. This black and white map shows the River of the West and a suggested Northwest Passage. Engraved for Walker's Geography & Co., c. 1794 (8.5 x 7"). Grade A.
5) North America. This map has a very large Missouri Territory, and Texas belongs to Mexico. Oregon Territory includes much of British Columbia, unusual for a British publication. Published by Orr & Co., London, circa 1830 with original outline color. (8 x 10.2"). Grade A.
6) North America. A very large Nebraska Territory extends to the Canadian border. Published by George Phillip & Son, Liverpool, circa 1850, original outline color. (11.5 x 9). Several edge tears and fold splits repaired with nonarchival tape on verso. One corner with some loss. Grade B.
7) North America. Finely engraved balck and white map with decorative border. J. Rapkin, London (9.5 x 14"). An edge tear in right margin reaches map, and some splits, all repaired with a nonarchival tape on verso that has stained. Grade B.
8) Carte Physique et Politique de L'Amerique Septentrionale. Shows Nouvelle Californie, the United States with a pre-Gadsden Purchase border, and the names of many native tribes. Published by L. Dussieux, Paris, dated 1845, with original outline color (15.3 x 11"). Grade A.
9) Amerique du Nord. Finely engraved and detailed black and white map with numerous placenames and much topography. Published by Jules Renouard, Paris ( 10 x 7.8"). Grade A.
10) North America. The new state of Texas is in its "stovepipe" configuration, reaching almost to the Snake River, with Oregon and California taking up the lion's share of the West. Published by W. & R. Chambers, Edinburgh, cirtca 1848, with original outline color. ( 8.3 x 10"). The map is evenly toned with some marginal spots. Grade B+.
11) North America. Finely engraved and detailed black and white map with numerous placenames for the size. Engraved by John Dower for Beeton's Dictionary of Geography, c. 1868, ( 7 x 9"). Some offsetting. Binding edge creased and trimmed past the neatline at right. Grade B.
12) North America. A densely engraved black and white map with a nice vignette of Niagara Falls. Published by Blackie, Fullarton & Co. in Glasgow, circa 1832. ( 8 x 9.5"). A sturdy sheet that is irregularly toned, mostly along folds and in margins.
13) North America. Nicely engraved black and white map with simple detail by Sidney Hall, London, c. 1824 (6 x 7"). Toned and foxed, mostly along folds and in margins. A couple fold splits repaired with masking tape that has stained. Grade C+.
14) America Septentrionale Civelli Gius. Finely engraved and detailed map showing the northern boundary of Mexico up to the Gila River. Anonymous, Milan, original outline color, circa 1850. ( 15 x 11.5"). A few small spots and scattered foxing. Grade B+.
