Interesting and original view drawn by Johann Degler, presents an allegory of Chinese culture. Interesting Latin notes relate to Chinese ceremonies, burial habits, and a pair of fat Buddhas are labeled Idola. The background features ornate Chinese architecture and ship design. The cartouche is suspended above on a banner supported by putti. Engraved by Joseph a Montalegre.
