A decorative map of China that was originally issued by Jan Jansson in 1657, this is the later issue by Gerard Valk and Peter Schenk. The Great Wall is shown and Korea has a more or less correct peninsular shape, and there are many cities noted throughout. The map is embellished with sailing ships and junks, a title cartouche flanked by Chinese and Jesuit men and a scale of miles surrounded by putti.
