This lovely copper engraved carte-a-figures map covers the heart of the present-day Czech Republic, the ancient kingdom of Bohemia. Seventeen engraved vignettes parade at top and sides, presenting views of Prague, the Emperor’s Court and principal cities of Czalsa, Comethau, Polm, Schlani & Laun. The side borders illustrate five different levels of Bohemian society from King and Queen to countryman and countrywoman, all in fabulous costume. Related English text on verso. Imprint of Robert Chiswell in St. Pauls Church yard and Thomas Bassett in Fleetstreet.
