This great and wide ranging map covers all of Europe and the Middle East. It includes Northern Africa, Ireland, England, much of Scandinavia and Russia, and extends to include all of the Caspian Sea. Composed of two joined maps, each with it's own title as given above. Each with a most decorative military-themed title cartouche. A small compass rose with fleur-de-lys floats in the Atlantic Ocean. Filled with place names, roads, political divisions, watershed and some topographical information. Names London, Paris, Madrid, Baghdad, etc. An uncommon issue for which we find no reference or prior sales information.
