Handsome map of the Americas colored to depict the political boundaries. The United States is shown with a Pre-Gadsden border with Mexico. The states are not delineated but the western territories are named, including Nebraska, Oregon, California, Utah, New Mexico and Indian Territory. Mail steamer routes between Europe, Africa and the Americas are shown. The map is enclosed is a bold key-board style border.

Nice impression and attractive color. Short fold separations and 1" tear into map at top right have been repaired with archival tape on the verso.
