This book is filled with interesting photographic portraits and biographical information about the Wright brothers and their quest to build a flying machine. Importantly, the frontis is an actual photographic print (3.5 x 5") "from the original negative of the only picture taken of man's first flight." Black hardbound, photographic frontis, title page, contents, Forward by the Edison Institute, portraits of Wilbur and Orville, text, 62pp. Few examples of this early photograph exist.

Text and images bright and clean with black and red printing. Binding is near fine with original paper label. Quarter cloth spine has damp staining in lower half.
