This woodcut map covers the region from ancient Scythia, the Black and Caspian Seas, through the Red Sea, Arabia and the Persian Gulf. In the Ptolemaic style, the map presents the rivers, seas, rope-like mountain ranges and the major cities with ancient place names. Printed on a full sheet (8.2 x 13.4") of German text.
