Decorative map of the Spanish region of Catalonia that covers the Mediterranean coastline from the French border via Barcelona to Tortosa. The splendid, allegorical cartouche at right shows Perseus about to decapitate the fearsome Medusa, and a figure representing Catalonia is kneeling before a monarch, to illustrate the surrender of Catalonia to Felipe V of Spain during the War of the Spanish Succession.

Very early and fine impression, original bright hand coloring. Two wormholes at centerfold at top edge of margin. One tiny spot in the in the Mediterranean, a little marginal foxing, else fine.
