Venlo is shown at the top of the map and Namur is at the right, with Rotterdam on the left and Antwerp in the bottom. The Meuse River curves across the top. The map is adorned with a nice strapwork title cartouche. It was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum.
