Large pocket map that folds into 4 x 6.5" brown stiff paper wrappers with the title "Rand, McNally & Co.'s Indexed County and Railroad Pocket Map and Shippers' Guide of Texas." The map is colorful and detailed. It contains a key that names and locates 51 railroads with red overprinting. Large inset shows the southern tip of the state to Brownsville with part of Mexico. The 58-page booklet contains a title page, numerous ads, and index. The full-page ad for the American House in Boston is mostly a plan of downtown Boston. On the back cover is an extensive list of other pocket maps available from Rand, McNally.

Condition: A

A near fine example with crisp impression, bright coloring and full margins. A few fold intersection splits as always found on these maps. The blank verso of the map has some soiling from dirty hands.
