This is a remarkable, historical, early and very desirable tinted lithographic bird's-eye view of the city as seen from the south. It provides wonderful detail of individual houses, some already climbing up Knob Hill. The mountains in the background are clearly the result of artistic liberties. The very delicately colored stone lithograph was also published in Bill's "Sights in the Gold Region &c." Drawn by Kuchel and lithography by P.S. Duval of Philadelphia. Published by Henry Bill and trademarked by Theodore T. Johnson. A most desirable issue.
