Nice matched set of copper engraved maps of the continents. Each map has a very elaborate, imaginative vignette serving as the title cartouche. The North America sheet names Texas as Cenis, with most of the West labeled Unknown. The region of California is New Albion. The map of Africa features elephants, zebras, and large cats in the vignettes. The map of Asia extends to show the northern portion of New Holland.
