An historical geography of the kingdoms of David and Solomon, as well as of the dominions of the Seleucids. It also includes a comparison of the greatest cities of the known world. Two parts in one volume: part one with the title printed in red and black, and six folding engraved maps by Homann Heirs, all hand-colored; part two with title page and 13 plates and plans (3 folding), all hand-colored, and one uncolored plate of scales. Large quarto, hardbound in 19th century cloth with calf-back, embossed and gilt-titled spine. Not in the Library of Congress. Provenance: Ex libris Eran Laor Collection with his personal library stamp on front endpaper; Sotheby sale L09203 3/23/99.

Condition: B

Text generally clean with light scattered foxing on a few leaves. Six folding maps good to very good with a couple of minor spots, three with short binding tears. Plates and plans all very good. Binding rubbed with minor shelf wear.
