Fine group of copper engravings from the Old Testament drawn by Picart and G. Hoet and published by Pierre de Hondt. Captions in Hebrew, English, German, Latin, French, Dutch. 1) Gen. II:25 - Adam & Eve were both naked & were not ashamed. 2) Gen. III:9 - God calleth unto Adam & said: where art thou? 3) Gen. V:24 - God took Enoch. 4) Gen. XIX. 15-26 - An Angel leads Lot out of Sodom & destroys the City. 5) Gen. XIX: 10-11 - The Sodomites are smitten with blindness. 6) I Sam. XVII:49 - David killeth Goliath. 7) I. Sam. XXIV:12 - David sheweth Saul the skirt of his robe. 8) I. Sam. XXVIII:14 - Saul with the witch of Endor. 9) II Sam. XIII:29 - Absalom's servants kill his brother Amnon at a Feast. 10) II Sam.
