Great issue of Harper's Weekly featuring a dramatic wood engraving by T. de Thulstrop after Frederick Remington captioned, "illustrating illegal squatters in Indian Territory being escorted by the US Army." Included is an interesting article regarding the status of Indian Territory and the difficulties of keeping the ever-pressing 'boomers' out of lands that belonged to the Indians. Also included are images of Logging in Wisconsin, Snake - Charming in Tangier, Shad - Fishing in Florida and Alaska Scenery, along with articles to accompany them and charming advertising for various 19th century goods and services. 16 pp.
