This large map of Asia includes the islands of the East Indies. The map is based on the cartography of Delisle with a similar treatment of Terra Yedo, Japan and Terre de la Compagnie. However, Lotter has chosen to not show the northern coastline of Asia. The figurative title cartouche features merchants and trade goods representing the wealth of the exotic Orient.
