Large, double-page map of Texas with very fine detail throughout. County development ends along the 100th meridian with the counties of Hardeman, Concho, Kimble, Dimmit, etc. Along the Rio Grande are the additional new counties of Kinney and Maverick. The Staked Plain is labeled Young County. The extensive trail and wagon road system and a large number of towns and villages are named. The railroad system is not yet well developed, but the Laredo, Lower Presidio and Upper Presidio roads are noted. Large insets of the panhandle and Galveston Bay. The map is surrounded in a lacy border; the final border in this fine series of maps by the Johnson family. Dated 1866, but likely published about 1870 based on county development and the banknote style border.
