"Map of Cape Cod and Vicinity", Walker, George H. & Co.

This scarce issue is a segmented and linen backed map that folds into self covers with pasted paper label, titled "Cape Cod." At a scale of 3 miles per inch, there is good detail of New Bedford, Martha's Vineyard Island, Nantucket, the Elizabeth Islands and more. Towns and villages are shown, with excellent detail of the road network. The Best Routes are highlighted through red over printing.

The map is actually in very good condition less a little abrasion of paper down to linen at upper left and lower right corners just to neatline. A little surface soiling in water area. Linen is quite sound with no splits. Owner's name in ink on cover.
