Fine plan illustrates the extensive fortifications of Lleida situated on the banks of the river Segre in northwestern Catalan. This scene depicts the siege of the city in October 1707 during the War of the Spanish Succession. The chart is adorned with a very large cartouche containing a key to the map. Engraved by Isaac Basire.
