A fabulous and rare bird's-eye view. On thin paper, the map folds into paper case. The title on map is Bennington, VT and title on cover is as shown above. This stone lithograph is taken from Lucien R. Burleigh's 1887 Bennington view, but with 1891 Battle of Bennington centennial celebration sites and structures added; keyed list of 37 references at bottom. Cover notes "For sale only by Charles H. Potter, Bennington, Vt." A most scarce issue in remarkable condition.
