An interesting map illustrating an aborted attempt by the British to capture Cadiz during the War of Spanish Succession. The map is beautifully embellished with a large decorative cartouche displaying the explanation or key. The scale is displayed within a second decorative cartouche. The title appears beneath the map. Engraved by J. Basire.

Issued folding, now pressed. Short fold intersection split repaired with archival tape. Bit of faint offsetting that erases easily.
