Superb bird's-eye plan of the fortified city of Mechelen in Antwerpen Province. The Dyle River flows through the city and is diverted fully around the city to a form a circular, protective moat. The plan is oriented with north to the left and beautifully engraved to show the city walls, churches, market squares, streets and gardens.
