Nearly complete tall folio atlas with 50 of 53 maps. Missing the front cover, title page, list of maps and the first three maps (World, Ireland, and Northern Germany). All maps are tabbed and numbered as issued by Hall. With a great map of the United States that shows most of Texas at its largest configuration. Plus nice maps of Canada, West Indies, a very nice map of Tasmania titled "Van Diemen's Land," and many more. Hardbound with quarter calf and tips, red leather label with title in embossed gilt. Contents: title page, maps, Index to Hall's General Atlas. Published by Spottiswoodes & Shaw, and maps engraved by Longman & Co.

Covers detached and worn, spine broken but attached to back board. Maps very good (A to B+) with occasional light offsetting. Pencil notations on blank verso of several maps.
