Superb map of the region including the Paraguay River basin and the Peru-Chilean coast with Lake Titicaca. The Rio de la Plata is boldly shown with many large islands in the broad river. Several towns are named including R. Ianeiro, S. Paulo, Buenos Ayres, Medoca, Arica, Potosi and Cusco. Large decorative title cartouche incorporating the distance scales, smaller cartouche with armillary sphere and a large compass rose. French text on verso.

Paper edges reinforced with Japanese paper on verso repairing several edge tears. Soil in margins.
