Large copper engraved map that includes Tartary, Northern China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. The map is fully engraved with forests and mountains and, for the period, has quite good detail of cities and towns. The Great Wall is graphically depicted. Japan is shown on the Blaeu/Martini type and Corea is shown as a small peninsula. The large Kithay Lacus is located in central China. Decorative title cartouche with cherubs.
Crisp impression with original coloring on fine hand laid paper with a small watermark and wide margins. A little light toning in blank ocean and along centerfold, else very good.
