Unusual pocket map of the world by Isaac F. Pheils, Woodville, Ohio. The map is the feature of this advertising piece for the "The Wonder of the 20th Century. The Pheils Universal Watches, Clocks, Maps and Dials Tell the Exact Sun and Standard Time of the World." The main map shows the northern hemisphere with a printed cardboard time dial in the center of the North Pole. The user can rotate the dial and determine the time anywhere in the world. Ingenious! Below the main map is a 5 x 8" map of the United States. There are pictures of Pheils' clocks in the upper corners and railroad information in the margins. Map folds into paper wrappers with title "Map Clock The Pheils Universal Time-piece. Shows on its revolving time-dial opposite the place on the map, the exact standard and sun time of every place in the world, etc." A remarkable cartographic curiosity in very good condition.
