A lovely copper engraved carte-a-figures map. It covers the heart of the present-day Czech Republic, the ancient kingdom of Bohemia. Includes seventeen engraved vignettes at top and sides: Views of Prague, the Emperor’s Court and principal cities of Czalsa, Comethau, Polm, Schlani & Laun. Side borders illustrate five different levels of Bohemian society from King & Queen to countryman & countrywoman, all in fabulous costume. English text on verso.

Condition: B

Lovely old color and strong impression. With narrow top and bottom margins, as issued. Split on lower centerfold with old paper repair laid across recto covering part of neatline and to support split. Oddly, it has old color to simulate the neatline.
