Great double-page chart of the area centered on Manhattan. The map is filled with fine detail and extends north to just above 116th Street. A large inset titled "Plan of the Northern Portion of the City of New York" extends from the main map. Terrific detail of railroads, parks and common areas, important buildings, streets and roads. Includes all of Central Park on the main map. The Brooklyn Bridge is simply labeled suspension bridge. Legend locates and names 36 railroads. Map has copyright notice by G. Woolworth Colton, 1865.
