Fine group of copper engravings from the Old Testament drawn by G. Hoet and published by Pierre de Hondt. 1) Numer. XXXI: 50-54 The oblation out of the spoils of the Midianites; 2) Deuter. XXXIV:8 The Israelites mourn for Moses; 3) Deuter. XXXI:14-23 Moses names Joshua to Succeed him; 4) Gen. L:7-13 Jacobs body carried into Canaan to be buried; 5) Exod: XL:17-19 The Erection of the Tabernacle and the Sacred vessels. The latter is a double-page engraving (17 x 13.7"), the others are single-page (8.5 x 13.7").
