Presentation of topography and hydrology has improved considerably over the three earlier GLO maps. Surveyed area is limited to a narrow band from Ft. Collins through Denver and continuing to Pueblo. The western half is organized into a few counties including the huge Summit and Lake Counties. Terrific detail of mineral deposits including gold, silver, copper, and iron. Also locates early Gold Diggings. Mountain elevation is delineated through hachure. An early folding map of the territory mounted on original linen.

References: Wheat (TMW) #1149.

Condition: B

Good impression and coloring. Some long splits along folds with no loss, closed on verso with archival tape. Scattered toning. Binding trim to neatline at two corners.
