Along with those of his rival Joan Blaeu, Jan Jansson produced some of the most sought-after and decorative maps of British counties. This beautifully engraved map is resplendent with nine elaborate coats of arms with a ribbon below carrying the family name for each. Finely engraved with impressive detail of the countryside, decorative distance scale, ships in the sea, and a lovely compass rose. No text on verso.
