Frontispiece and full-page portraits of Vespucci, Atahualpa and Montezuma, and 47 half-page engravings in text including scenes of New Netherlands, Virginia, Florida, California, New Mexico and South America. Views include depictions of native costume, cannibalism, battles, games, festivals, occupations, ceremonies and indigenous animals.

Edges are well worn. Leaves lightly toned with some soil, staining and light scattered foxing. Few with old repairs. Frontispiece and Athabaliba laid down on period paper to strengthen sheet.
