An interesting engraving depicting a grand battle between the princes of the Mughal Empire. Aurangzeb was the last of the great Mughal emperors and the empire reached its largest geographical size under his rule. After his death the empire entered a long decline while the British and French supported rival princes in numerous internal wars. The engraving is filled with battle scenes including cavalry and armored elephants. French text panels flank the scenes.
