The dates of various expeditions from the 1648 hunting party of Deschnew, Vitus Bering's 1728 and 1741 explorations, Cook's voyage of 1778, and Mackenzie in 1789. There are also lesser-known explorers noted such as Clerke, Wrangel, Kellet, Rodgers, Long, Collinson, MacClure, Rae and Nares.
