The map has been updated with information, particularly in the South Pacific, to the year 1774 as noted in the supplementary cartouche. Australia and Tasmania are shown as joined. The Pacific Northwest coast of North America shows Buache's theory of a Northwest Passage as well as the Gr. Riviere de l'Ouest nearly connecting the R. Longue and thus to the Mississippi. The tracks of explorations and trade routes are shown throughout. The large title cartouche is draped with a garland of flowers. Published by Fortin.
