A very pretty leaf from a Parisian Book of Hours, written on a fine sheet of buttery, white vellum in black ink. The leaf is decorated with one large initial, six small initials, and several line fillers illuminated in red, blue, white and burnished gold leaf. The verso features a decorative panel painted with gold leaves on hairline stems with colorful leaves and fruits.

This is a lovely, tiny leaf from a Book of Hours created in France around 1463. The book was so small, it must have been the property of a lady who carried it in her purse. The delicate text has 6 initials in blue, red and burnished gold leaf, as well as two line fillers in the form of tiny flowers. The text is in dark brown ink.

This simple leaf from a Book of Hours was written on paper either in Holland or the western part of Germany. The writing is not very regular and the decoration is very plain with only two large initials in red ink.
