This is Chatelain's version of Delisle's map of the Antilles. It extends from Guadeloupe to Grenade and includes Barbados. Numerous place names are shown, as are the locations of forts, churches, rivers and more. French text describes the European discovery and history of the islands. The most remarkable feature is the upside-down depiction of Grenada.

This is a superb map of the Lesser Antilles covering the islands from Guadeloupe to Grenada. The map was based on Delisle's map of the region as evidenced by its depiction of Grenada up-side-down. A large inset map provides excellent detail of Martinique showing the island divided between the French colonial settlements and the Barbari Habitant.
