First is a decorative copper engraving of an armillary sphere at center on a stone plinth with river and hills behind. At one side is a tombstone topped with an urn and engraved with the words "Sacred to the Memory of Capt. Cook." On the right a young gentleman holds partially rolled map of the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Attractively bordered at top and down the sides with garlands of leaves, flowers & bows. It was published by John Stockdale in Voyage to the Pacific, London, 1784. Second is a copper engraving of a globe on a fancy stand, published by Magini, circa 1713. On a full page of Italian text. Size varies slightly.
