A visually arresting map is oriented vertically to show twin polar projections. Tierra del Fuego is the only land exhibited in the South Pole, and the North Pole includes a portion of the coastline of fictional Anian, with a well-developed Arctic for the period. Novaya Zemla is shown with a partial coastline. The spheres are surrounded with vigorous windheads within billowing clouds.

Interesting map of the poles that shows numerous tracks of explorers, including those of Cook, Tasman, Furneaux, Halley and Marion. There is an unusual and utterly spurious Northwest Passage shown from Hudson Bay via Wager Inlet into a Grand Eau des Sauvages down into L. de Fonte and out into the Pacific.
